Job Summary:
CareerBeacon is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will lead our Human Resources department in promoting excellence and innovation in the delivery of HR services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a talented team of HR professionals in all aspects of human resources management, including employee and faculty labour relations, human resources planning and strategy development, policy development and implementation, training, professional development, and performance management.
- Contribute to the organization's mandate by providing advice and guidance on all issues affecting human resources management to the Executive Team and other managers.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of HR services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field, preferably with a Human Resources or Business focus.
- Minimum of ten years' experience in increasingly responsible positions in the Human Resources field, specifically in a unionized environment.
- Proven experience with labour relations, negotiation, and interpretation of collective agreements, and providing advice based on relevant legislation and regulation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, the ability to engage with a wide variety of people, and the ability to actively listen and be visible throughout the institution.
