Job Title: Wall and Ceiling Installation Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Wall and Ceiling Installation Specialist to join our team at Wescor Contracting Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing walls and ceilings in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tenders and quotations for wall and ceiling installation projects
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish
  • Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete installations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations

Work Environment: The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced commercial and industrial setting, with occasional work in residential settings. The candidate must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in wall and ceiling installation
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
