Job Title: Wall and Ceiling Installer

We are seeking a skilled Wall and Ceiling Installer to join our team at Wescor Contracting Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing wall and ceiling systems, including drywall, plaster, and suspended ceilings. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for wall and ceiling installations
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish
  • Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to install wall and ceiling systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a commercial, industrial, and residential setting, installing wall and ceiling systems in a variety of environments.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in wall and ceiling installation
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
