Nursing Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Support Specialist to join our team at Romko Residences LTD. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities- Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with serving meal trays and feeding patients
- Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments
- Maintain patients' rooms, including making beds and ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Supervise patients' exercise routines and provide support as needed
- Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as required
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure adequate stock levels
- Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect
- Transport patients between care facilities and provide support during transfers
- Answer call signals and respond to patients' needs in a timely and compassionate manner
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas
- Administer first aid in emergency situations and provide support as needed
- Health Care Aide Certificate
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to colleagues
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-37 hour work week. The work language is English, and the work term is permanent. As per collective agreement, financial benefits will be provided.
