About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as with meal preparation and feeding.
  • Provide Nursing Care: Administer first aid in emergency situations, perform basic life support, and assist with medical equipment setup and maintenance.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure clients' living spaces are clean and safe, and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and healthcare teams through effective communication and empathy.
  • Document Client Information: Accurately record and maintain client information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a Personal Support Worker program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in home care or nursing.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate and CPR Certification.
