Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced farm labourer to join our team at Bonnieheath Lavender Estates.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to farming, including crop maintenance, harvesting, and grading. This is a seasonal position with a variable schedule that may include shift or on-call work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and maintaining crops to ensure optimal growth and quality.
  • Harvesting and grading vegetables and fruits according to size, shape, color, and volume to fetch high prices in the market.
  • Performing hand harvesting of vegetables, harvesting seedlings, and maintaining the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes.
  • Planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops, as well as harvesting and cutting horticultural crops.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record check (abstract) are required for operating farm equipment and machinery.
  • Experience in farming or a related field is an asset, but not necessary for this role.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and meet tight deadlines is essential.
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Working Conditions

The working conditions for this role include working outdoors in a rural area, often in hot weather, and being exposed to dust, odors, and other environmental factors.

What We Offer

In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
