Canada SitePoint Pty Full time $90,000
Help the Helpers with Jane

We're on a mission to simplify the lives of healthcare practitioners and patients daily. Our team at Jane is dedicated to fostering growth, spreading delight, and serving our healthcare community. We're looking for a talented Intermediate Full Stack Software Developer to join our Clinical Group and help us achieve our mission.

Your Role in Our Journey

As a member of our Chart Extensions & Developer Experience team, you'll be working closely with product managers and designers to develop the Charting SDK, enabling our technology partners to create discipline-specific chart records within Jane. You'll play a key role in shaping a cohesive Developer Experience, empowering developers to ideate, build, publish, and iterate on extensions that bring value to Jane's customers.

The Impact You Could Have
  1. You will contribute to establishing standards, patterns, and practices that make up the Jane Developer Platform and the Charting SDK.
  2. You will contribute to the development of a robust and comprehensive Developer Experience for our technology partners.
  3. You will refactor the existing code base to address technical debt in order to make Jane more extensible and testable.
  4. You will champion values like ownership, code quality, code testability, and customer focus to help form a highly performant team that delivers a delightful experience to our partners and practitioners.
  5. You will contribute to product designs, architectural decisions, and agile process adoption.
  6. You will help practitioners focus on helping their patients improve the quality of their lives.
The Experience We Feel We Need
  1. You have a growth mindset and possess critical thinking skills that you use to decide technical trade-offs and navigate any ambiguity.
  2. You have at least 3 years of experience with an agile software development lifecycle for a SaaS product creating new products from the ground up, while leveraging an existing platform and code base, is an asset.
  3. You have experience working closely with product managers and product designers.
  4. You have experience learning and adopting technical standards. Experience developing APIs and SDKs for external technology partners, is an asset.
  5. You have experience in early-stage product development and in larger, structured company environments. Developing software in a regulated industry such as health care or finance, is an asset.
  6. You are a full stack developer with demonstrable frontend and backend development experience. Our frontend languages/frameworks are React, Typescript, and Redux. Our backend language/framework is primarily, Ruby on Rails. We recognize you may have experience with other languages such as Java, C#, Python, and Go and that's ok, we encourage you to apply.
Compensation Expectations for the Role

Jane's committed to paying our team members fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $90,000 and a maximum annual salary of $135,000. This salary range is quite large, and this is intentional to account for the growth someone will experience in the role throughout their time at Jane. When hiring talented folks to join the Jane team, we've found that new team members are best set up for success when hired with the expectation of being fully accomplished in the role, which for this role would reflect a salary between $106,900 to $112,500. It's also possible to join Jane at a salary above or below this, which would mean a salary below $106,900 which typically reflects someone who has all the potential to be fully accomplished in the role but doesn't yet possess all the skills required, while a salary above $112,500 is typically for individuals who are currently in this role at Jane and had the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on our customers, product, and company with deep Jane knowledge.

At Jane, we're committed to fostering an environment that allows you to come to work as your truest self. We believe it's important to actively recognize, embrace, and celebrate our differences in order to make Jane an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace. We do not tolerate discrimination, prejudice, or oppressive isms of any kind. Employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit, experience, and the needs of the Jane community. We encourage anyone who requires accommodation or adjustments throughout the interview process to let us know, and we will do our best to support you.
