Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sushi Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring exceptional presentation and taste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to recipes and quality standards
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances by adapting ingredients and cooking methods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain inventory levels and support efficient operations
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth day-to-day activities
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a sushi restaurant
  • Demonstrated expertise in Japanese cuisine, particularly in sushi preparation and presentation
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to train and supervise staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
