Occupational Therapist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health and Addictions Program. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in the planning, development, and provision of mental health services.
You will work closely with clients, families, and other healthcare providers to assess and address the needs of individuals with mental health and addiction issues. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing treatment plans that promote recovery and well-being.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist who possesses a strong understanding of mental health and addiction issues. You will have a graduate degree in Occupational Therapy and be eligible for membership in the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association.
Key qualifications include:
- Minimum three years of experience working with clients in an addiction and mental health setting
- Experience in developing collaborative partnerships and initiatives with other agencies and community stakeholders
- Ability to provide effective assessment and treatment of mental health and addiction issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
This is a temporary full-time position, working 75 hours bi-weekly for approximately 6 months. Dates are subject to change.
Compensation and IncentivesThe hourly rate for this position is $33.96 - $42.89.
