About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and family members to facilitate, restore, and maintain optimal levels of function in areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation, assessment, treatment, evaluation, and follow-up services to clients in hospital, home, and community settings.
  • Establish individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with clients.
  • Manage a busy caseload and prioritize issues using clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Provide education and support to clients, families, and caregivers.
  • Contribute to the clinical education of OT students and related health disciplines.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university. Licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia is mandatory. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate education programs and interact positively with patients/clients, families, other healthcare providers, and staff are essential.

  • Permanent Full-time / 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Shiftwork / Call / Rotation / etc
Compensation and Incentives

$33.97 - $42.89 Hourly
