About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Alberta Inc. in a permanent role.

This is a 30 hour per week position that offers a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and has excellent interpersonal skills.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating office administrative procedures, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

You will be required to assemble data, prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence, as well as assist in the preparation of operating budgets and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an office setting and possess strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures to ensure they meet the company's standards
  • Establish work priorities and ensure that procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Carry out administrative activities of the establishment, including coordinating and planning for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services
  • Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence
  • Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures, including monitoring and reporting on performance metrics
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience working in an administrative role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

The role will involve working under pressure and maintaining attention to detail, while also being able to multitask and manage competing demands.

A criminal record check may be required for this position.

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as access to training and development opportunities.

The salary range is based on market conditions and is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
