Director, Pharmacy Strategy Job Description:

This role oversees Biopharma's Payer programs and solutions. Key responsibilities include creating strategic partnerships with Payors, analyzing data to develop best-in-class programs, managing project execution, and executing business objectives in alignment with the Biopharma division.

  • Innovative program development and implementation for Payor networks, prior authorization, case management, reimbursement, and manufacturer card programs.
  • Leading the Specialty Pharmacy Kroll Central Maintenance team and pharmacy adjudication/reporting system, Kroll.
  • Data analysis and insights on pharmacy specialty drug/program dispensing trends including pricing, billing, and revenue/margin trends.
  • Reducing and mitigating claw backs from third-party payer audits through strategic planning and direction of pharmacy activities.
  • Liaising with critical cross-functional departments to optimize our participation in the PPN networks and other Payor Solutions.
  • Executing short- and long-term strategic partnership roadmap for Biopharma & Provider solutions.
  • Contract negotiations and execution with key stakeholders to optimize our participation in the PPN networks and other Payor Solutions.
  • Accountable for program financial performance and overseeing the budget for internal and external clinical resources.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business Administration, Pharmacy, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in P&L management, including experience with Payor, Health, and Drug benefit programs.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze and interpret data, trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Project/program/product management experience an asset, along with strong communication skills: interpersonal, writing, and presentation.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with a strong professional presence and client management skills.
