Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at Candid Trucking Incorporated. This is a permanent position that requires 40 to 60 hours of work per week.

The successful candidate must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and less than 7 months of experience in the field.

In this role, you will be responsible for addressing customers' complaints or concerns, professionalism in customer service, driving as part of a two-person team or convoy, loading and unloading goods, operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, overseeing the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, paying and receiving payments for goods, performing brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, preventive maintenance, receiving and relaying information to central dispatch, recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, tarping, and ensuring safety and security of cargo.

To be eligible for this position, you must possess an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, a Driver's License (Class 1 or A), and have knowledge of documentation such as accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.

You will also be working with flatbed and tractor-trailer types of trucks, handling international, long-haul, and provincial/territorial transportation/travel experiences, conducting driving record checks, drug tests, possessing a valid driver's license, being willing to travel for extended periods, and handling heavy loads, large workloads, physically demanding tasks, up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

This job involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
