About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Manager to join our team at Hudson's Bay. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of our asset protection strategy and ensuring the overall inventory shortage performance of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Control and Management: Develop and execute comprehensive shortage strategies to minimize inventory losses and ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Investigations and Audits: Conduct thorough investigations and audits to identify and address internal and external theft, and ensure compliance with company policies and laws.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide coaching and direction to store associates on asset protection policies and procedures, and conduct regular training sessions to maintain a high level of awareness and expertise.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with store leadership, managers, and associates to drive awareness of inventory shortage results, concerns, and strategy initiatives, and foster a collaborative environment to achieve asset protection objectives.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Provide final oversight of audit execution and internal audit readiness, and work with sales support to ensure shortage control processes are followed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalency required, along with a valid provincial security license. 3-5 years of retail asset protection experience, with 2+ years of managing direct reports.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record of identifying shortage exposures and creative strategies to overcome them, track record of meeting statistical and financial goals, knowledge of provincial and federal laws, and strong aptitude and knowledge of retail security systems, information systems, and productivity software.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Wicklander-Zulawski Interview Certification, comfortable with physical work, and ability to work a flexible schedule.
