About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician to provide individual and group counselling for people with moderate to severe substance use with or without mental health concerns.

  • Assess and treat clients with complex needs, frequently with co-occurring disorders
  • Provide specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups, and families
  • Collaborate with the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team to ensure timely and responsive treatment and clinical supports
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for clients with substance use and mental health concerns
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Masters degree from an accredited educational institution in an Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field
  • Two years' recent related experience in an alcohol and drug treatment environment
  • Current valid B.C. driver's license
