We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Head Cashier to join our team at J-Town By the Sea, Inc.
Job SummaryThe Head Cashier will be responsible for overseeing the cash handling operations of our retail store, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures
- Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels
- Authorize return of merchandise and resolve customer complaints
- Establish work schedules and supervise the activities of sales workers
- Perform same duties as sales workers supervised
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment
- Equivalent experience in a related field
The Head Cashier will work in a fast-paced retail environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Physical Demands- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Standing for extended periods
This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
