Job Title: Head Cashier

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cashier to join our team at J-Town By the Sea, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Head Cashier will be responsible for overseeing the cash handling operations of our retail store, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and supervise their activities
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels
  • Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing
  • Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages
  • Perform same duties as workers supervised
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail or cash handling environment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
Work Environment:

The Head Cashier will work in a fast-paced retail environment, standing for extended periods and performing a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
