About the Role

ANDRITZ Hydro Canada is a leading provider of sustainable solutions for the energy sector, with a rich history spanning over 170 years. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our hydroelectric projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with company and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams, construction management, and business personnel to develop strong baseline EPC schedules.
  • Assist in the development of option analysis and strategies for project scope and execution plans.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis and develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Ensure proper integration of all project schedules and perform impact analysis of delays and accelerations.
  • Define critical and sub-critical path activities and communicate them to the project team.
  • Develop and maintain other schedules as deemed necessary by the project team, including milestone schedules and manpower curves.
  • Collect progress updates, apply progress to schedules, and re-forecast resource requirements.
  • Liaise with the project team to generate EVM metrics and review manpower planning.
  • Ensure all schedules follow written scheduling procedures and quality standards.
  • Improve global scheduling processes and standards to ensure data integrity and quality of output.
  • Issue various project reports, including dashboards, customer progress reports, and monthly and quarterly reporting.
Requirements
  • Three to five years of scheduling experience in an enterprise application (Primavera P6).
  • Three to five years of experience in managing schedules for large industrial/construction projects.
  • Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and lead.
  • Strong analytics skills to evaluate complex data sets and resolve issues.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and deliver presentations.
