Project Planner Job Description

As a Project Planner, you will contribute to the development of innovative hydroelectric technology, ensuring the successful execution of projects that drive a clean future and maintain Canadian expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align project schedules with company and industry standards, ensuring completeness and business objectives.
  • Interface with project teams, construction management, and business personnel to develop strong baseline EPC schedules.
  • Assist in option analysis and strategies for project scope and execution plans.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis and develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Ensure proper integration of all project schedules and perform impact analysis of delays and accelerations.
  • Define critical and sub-critical path activities and communicate them to the project team.
  • Develop and maintain other schedules as necessary, including milestone schedules, manpower curves, and mobilization plans.
  • Collect progress updates, apply progress to schedules, and re-forecast resource requirements.
  • Liaise with project teams to generate EVM metrics and review manpower planning.
  • Ensure all schedules follow written procedures and quality standards.
  • Improve global scheduling processes and standards to ensure data integrity and quality output.
  • Issue project reports, including dashboards, customer progress reports, and other monthly and quarterly reporting as needed.
  • Promote the value of scheduling to project teams and strive for schedule integrity.
Requirements
  • Three to five years of scheduling experience in an enterprise application (Primavera P6).
  • Three to five years of experience in managing schedules for large industrial/construction projects.
  • Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and lead.
  • Strong analytics skills to evaluate complex data sets and resolve issues.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and deliver presentations.
