Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Domain Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our corporate data strategy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that data is well-organized, accessible, and aligned with our strategic objectives.

This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of data management principles. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and data architects to define and implement data management strategies within one or more data domains (products, production, customer, etc.).

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a team of architects, data engineers, and product managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop analytical strategies to meet business needs, leveraging your expertise in data architecture concepts.
  • Collaborate with product managers, the development team, and stakeholders to build and monitor action plans for initiative delivery.
  • Work closely with other data domains and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data governance.
  • Contribute to the prioritization of initiatives based on their technical, financial, and resource management dependencies and constraints.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from inception to implementation, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, IT, or a related field (a master's degree is an asset).
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing large-scale data migration projects, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership and team mobilization skills, with the ability to maintain positive leadership even under pressure.
  • Experience working with data catalogues and platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Snowflake, and Power BI (an asset).
  • Implementation and deployment of a company data governance platform, with a focus on data quality and security.
  • Collaboration with data foundation domain teams to set up a next-generation cloud data platform, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Management of legacy data platform remediation efforts to support enterprise resource planning (ERP) changeover programmes.
  • Supporting and managing agile transformation of the DNA office, promoting agility and flexibility.
  • Strong analytical and information processing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
