Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Kicking Horse Ford. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport truck systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair issues with commercial transport truck systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Review work orders
  • Road test motor vehicles
  • Test automotive systems and components
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
Requirements:
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots
