Job Summary

Kicking Horse Ford is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport truck systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Issues: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify problems with commercial transport truck systems, and perform repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect and Test Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and confirm findings with supervisors to determine the best course of action.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors: Work closely with supervisors to discuss work and determine the best approach for repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance service to ensure commercial transport truck systems are running at peak performance.
  • Coach and Instruct Apprentices: Coach and instruct apprentices in the diagnosis and repair of commercial transport truck systems.
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification: Possess a valid Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Experience: Have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field of automotive service and repair.
  • Education: Possess an Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
