Pharmacist

As a Pharmacy Operations Manager at Shoppers Drug Mart / Pharmaprix, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy. Your expertise in dispensing medication and providing professional services will be essential in maintaining the trust and confidence of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing medication and providing consultation to customers and healthcare providers.
• Practice to full scope in providing professional services, including counseling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed, maintaining all records required in accordance with legislation, standards of practice, and policy.
• Communicate with other healthcare professionals within the circle of care to provide customer care.
• Control access to the dispensary with respect to inventory and patient confidentiality.
• Review and maintain workflow queues on a daily basis, ensuring all requirements for documentation and control of substances under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Regulations are met.

Requirements:

• Independent thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to make decisions when dealing with issues or problems.
• Proven ability to drive and build the business, lead by example, and support enterprise programs.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service, with superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans.
• Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of pharmacy systems a definite asset.
