Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator

Job Summary
VCA Canada is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Alta Vista Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional client service and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between veterinarians, treatment staff, and clients to provide daily updates and communicate effectively.
- Prepare and present discharge instructions, medications, and client education to ensure a smooth transition for patients and their families.
- Coordinate referrals and transfers with other hospitals to ensure seamless care.
- Follow up with discharged patients to ensure their needs are met and provide ongoing support.
- Manage client communication, including discussing financing options, requesting deposits, and taking payments.
- Relay lab results and provide accurate information to clients.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong client service skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as required.
