Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our team at Skyservice. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairing, replacing, and rebuilding aircraft structures using a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural repairs and modifications, applying technical expertise to solve complex problems.
  • Read and interpret manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical data to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Perform damage assessment for engineering and work closely with the team leader to ensure that work is performed according to schedule.
  • Ensure that work is performed according to quality standards, policies, and procedures of Skyservice and applicable regulations.
  • Order parts and supplies, and apply technical knowledge of airframe components.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Transport Canada S license is an asset.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a sheet metal worker.
  • Experience related to aircraft is an asset.
  • Valid AVOP (D/A or D) and radio license.
  • M license considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of operating a welding and brazing equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly to change, and flexible work shifts.
  • Detail-oriented and conscious of safety in any procedures.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills as the work requires working in a team environment.

Education:

  • Completed Structure or Sheet Metal program or equivalent.
