Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the safe and efficient handling and processing of regulated medical waste. This role ensures the warehouse consistently meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select, train, and develop a safe, effective, and efficient staff.
- Ensure the warehouse meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates productively and profitably.
- Maintain overall cost control of the warehouse.
- Interface proactively with personnel to achieve business goals.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Initiate actions to ensure timely resolution of identified hazards, unsafe conditions, or practices.
- Train off all new warehouse workers and monthly training of current warehouse personnel.
- Perform periodic facility audits and review all applicable regulatory paperwork.
- Provides for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
Requirements:
• 4th class power engineer certificate.
• 3+ Years of Experience in a manufacturing setting, 1+ years experience managing staff, preferably in a plant or manufacturing environment
• Identifies major activities of and services provided by the operations function
• Locates and interprets standard and management reports on plant activities
• Describes characteristics of a well-run manufacturing plant
• Knowledge of barcode scanning and basic computer skills
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations
• Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift (preferred)
• Ability to perform functions safely, productively and according to policies & procedures
