About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join our team at Vaco. This is a 15-month opportunity that requires strong leadership and technical skills in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accurate and timely completion of financial reporting, including coordination of all financial reporting for the Board of Directors.
  • Responsible for IFRS Financial Statements and assist with the preparation of the quarterly management discussion and analysis (MD&A) reporting.
  • Manage the quarterly and annual Finance calendar review meetings and identify and resolve issues that arise during the quarterly and annual reporting process from auditors.
  • Assess the impact of IFRS 17 on changes to statutory reporting and assist in the development of new internal management reporting and KPIs.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in financial reporting, preferably with 7+ years of post-qualification experience within an insurance or financial institution corporate reporting environment. Public Company reporting experience is an asset, and IFRS 17 exposure is mandatory. Prior experience managing staff is also required.
