We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team.
* The Accounting Manager will ensure accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
* This role is crucial in providing technical expertise, guidance, and leadership to support the organization's financial integrity and strategic objectives.
* Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in compliance with ASPE or IFRS.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues including revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, and other financial transactions.
  • Coordinate internal support for external audits.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assess and maintain effective internal controls related to financial reporting.
  • Train staff on accounting policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with departments to address financial reporting issues.
  • Effectively communicate financial information and accounting policies.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and provide financial insights.
  • Review and optimize the use of consolidation tools and systems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and successfully complete projects on time and on budget.

* Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA and Big 4 experience preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in accounting, with 5+ years specifically in technical accounting roles.
  • Thorough knowledge of ASPE or IFRS and experience in applying technical accounting principles to complex transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to research and apply accounting standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Hands-on experience with Hyperion Financial Management or its equivalent.
