Job Summary:

The Large Global Law Firm is seeking an experienced Employment and Labour Lawyer to join their ranking practice group in Downtown Toronto. As a management-side expert, you will represent clients in arbitrations, employment-related litigation, and collective bargaining negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on all employment and labour law aspects, including hiring and departing employees, workplace restructuring, discipline, performance management, accommodation, disability management, employment contracts, workplace policies and procedures, employment standards, union relations, and health and safety.
  • Represent clients in arbitrations, employment-related litigation, employment standards claims, human rights proceedings, and collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Collaborate with lawyers to develop and implement effective employment and labour law strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing employment and labour laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employment and labour law.
  • Proven track record of success in management-side employment and labour law.
  • Strong knowledge of employment and labour laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
