Broadcast Operations Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Broadcast Operations Coordinator to join our team at Greater Public. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating broadcast operations, including preparing and delivering content for broadcast.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in broadcast operations, including experience with local and wide area networks (servers, switches, routers, and operating systems). They will also have fundamental knowledge related to broadcast content reception, creation, and transmission systems, hardware, software, and related industry standards.

  1. Responsibilities:
  2. Coordinates broadcast operations, including preparing and delivering content for broadcast;
  3. Works closely with producers and engineers to ensure smooth broadcast operations;
  4. Manages and maintains broadcast equipment and infrastructure;
  5. Provides technical assistance to staff during live broadcasts;
  6. Collaborates with other IT professionals to ensure the organization's security posture remains strong;
  7. Stays informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices;
  8. Ensures IT Systems are in compliance with Disaster Plan;
  9. Develops and maintains software and hardware inventory and tracking systems;
  10. Provides software support and technical assistance to users, responds to user requests for service in a timely manner, and determines nature and extent of support needed;
  11. Guides departments in their selection of IT-related purchases; contacts software vendors, obtains specifications, pricing, and other purchase-related information;
  12. Updates and uploads information, forms, and documents to the System's website;
  13. Maintains sensitive information in a strict confidential manner;
  14. Performs any other related duties as assigned.
