Physiotherapy Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Headwaters Health Care Centre. As a key member of our Physiotherapy Department, you will provide patient care for inpatients under the supervision of our Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care for inpatients, working closely with our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams.
• Assist with general inpatient treatment, including rehabilitation and complex continuing care.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

Requirements:

• College Diploma in Physiotherapy Assistant Program.
• General inpatient treatment experience.
• Recent experience in a Rehabilitation or Complex Continuing Care setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of Gentle Persuasive Approach (preferred).
• Advanced computer skills (preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
