About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Sprucedale Care Centre Inc. as a Nursing Care Assistant. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Nutrition and Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring residents' dietary needs are met.
  • Bedside and Personal Care: Administer bedside care, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
  • Health and Wellness: Assist residents with exercise and physical activity, promoting overall health and well-being.
Requirements
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Personal Support Worker Certificate, and Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training.
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
