About the Role

BDO's Strategic Pursuit Centre (SPC) is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Pursuit Manager to join our team of dedicated proposal professionals. As a key member of our pursuit management team, you will be responsible for providing support and advisory services to the firm's most strategic pursuits nationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the strategic pursuit centres intake process, including assessing opportunities, assigning support levels, and communicating details to clients and team members.
  • Manage resources within the private and public sector teams to ensure optimal utilization, high-quality deliverables, and effective risk mitigation.
  • Operate the team, including coaching junior team members, regular meetings, and ensuring seamless collaboration with national sales teams.
  • Share sales intelligence with the national sales office to work across sales teams, including business developers, account managers, and programs like the Sales Deal Review Board (SDRB) qualification process and MUST Win program.
  • Support the entire proposal process for strategic proposal responses, from proposal kick-off to final submission.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the proposal process.
  • Provide RFx review and analysis, custom response template development, and end-to-end pursuit management.
  • Ensure BDO's responses to solicitations are competitive, compliant, and high-scoring.
  • Support the orals presentation process.
  • Assist with debriefs for each win/loss supported.
  • Ensure adherence to BDO's International Corporate Visual Identity Standards and National brand standards.
Requirements
  • University degree in communications, marketing, business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of work experience in proposal coordination, development, and management.
  • Experience with understanding the proposal process in both private and public sector industries.
  • Well-organized individual with project-related work experience, tight deadlines, problem-solving, and a fast-paced team environment.
  • Confidence in coordinating teams and managing upwards.
  • Understanding of Project Management tools and concepts that aid the proposal process and bidding team.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, communication, and consensus management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
  • Process improvement mindset to evolve our ways of working and improve the end-user experience.
  • Experience in virtual pursuit leadership and cultivating cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Experience working in a professional services firm.
  • Bilingual (French and English) an asset.
