Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Associate, Client Financial Reporting to join our Investment Operations team at IMCO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the production of client financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of high-quality reports to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate high-quality financial reports to meet the requirements of internal and external clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare investment accounting entries and establish effective controls around the entry creation processes.
  • Oversee and review the month-end/quarter-end accounting close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reports.
  • Streamline processes and create operational efficiencies, ensuring scalability and compliance with financial and operational controls.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of policies and operational procedures manuals.
  • Prepare financial statement notes and reporting schedules for quarter-end and year-end.
  • Continually improve existing reporting and accounting functions.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure quality reporting is produced on a timely basis.
  • Assist with internal and external audit as required.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in fund accounting or financial reporting.
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience in asset management or financial services operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting practices and principles, Accounting designation highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and database skills required.
  • Strong communications skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and across the enterprise.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Curiosity, organization, client focus, ability to work in ambiguity, detail orientation, and sound research skills.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with great work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all levels.
  • Adept at adopting and maintaining a philosophy of continuous improvement to optimize the financial close process and provide clients with a positive experience.
