We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Enhanced Care team at Ryan Hall in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and directing resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff.
You will provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services, respecting the client's right to individualized planning of health services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering and recording prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice;
- Maintaining the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting;
- Applying dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy;
- Assisting with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body;
- Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification preferred;
- A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening;
- Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset;
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
