We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Consultant to join our team in Toronto, GTA, and nationally. As a trusted partner for clients across various sectors, we offer unparalleled cost planning and estimating services.

About the Role
  • Create comprehensive Construction Cost Estimate reports at all design stages for education, healthcare, residential corporate occupier, and commercial projects.
  • Manage estimating and cost planning activities, taking ownership of final cost plans/estimates, and present them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Apply Value Management techniques at project inception and where suitable, ensuring optimal value delivery.
  • Oversee cost analysis, cost checking, and valuation work, guaranteeing efficient management.
  • Participate in Value engineering, LEED analysis, and Life Cycle costing initiatives.
  • Liaise with clients and other consultants at all project stages, providing exceptional client service.
  • Lead a cost management team, driving success in delivering key accountabilities, including research on construction market conditions across Canada.
  • Manage commissions and contribute to basic project and financial management responsibilities, such as fee tracking and invoice preparation.
Key Responsibilities at Senior Consultant Level
  • Business Development: Identify potential opportunities and inform Associate Directors and Directors.
  • Staff Management: Contribute to performance review processes for consultants and graduate consultants.
  • Recruitment: Participate in selection and recruitment processes, including interviews.
  • Knowledge Management: Ensure critical information and learning from each commission is input into Turner & Townsend's internal database.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience delivering pre-construction and post-contract construction cost services.
  • A recognized University Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Membership of relevant professional organizations, such as CIQS, RICS, and/or AACE.
  • Knowledge of and experience using CostX is an asset.

We pay competitive salaries. This role offers a base salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
