Electrical Automation Engineer

Canada Royal Milk is seeking an experienced Electrical Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge process algorithms in PLCs and HMIs
  • Oversee the installation and testing of state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment
  • Lead projects and contractors to successful outcomes
  • Create and refine maintenance procedures to keep equipment running smoothly
  • Establish and maintain electrical control equipment and instrument management systems
  • Provide top-notch technical support and lead root cause analysis to solve issues
  • Work with various departments to ensure equipment effectiveness and reliability
  • Drive energy cost and efficiency improvements across operations
  • Monitor and enhance manufacturing processes through data analysis
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in electrical equipment and instrumentation
  • Programming skills in PLCs and HMIs
  • Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, UPS, lighting, and other electrical systems
  • Understanding of VFDs, valves, pumps, robots, conveyors, and other equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/CMMS systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
