Job Summary

Spark Power Corp is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various industrial, commercial, and institutional settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot circuitry and replace damaged components on industrial equipment and systems
  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety in the workplace
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
  • Lead small jobs in a timely manner with little to no supervision
  • Install conduit and wire and terminate conductors
  • Install fixtures and devices for industrial applications and systems
  • Order required parts and control all job materials using our computer system
  • Complete work orders as per client specifications and input; review the completed job with the customer to ensure complete satisfaction

Requirements

  • A valid electrical license
  • Relevant electrical experience, preferably in an industrial setting
  • Solid knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code (OEC)
  • A valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record - MVR to be completed
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Availability for overtime shifts as required
  • On Call
  • Basic computer skills
