Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing all plant engineering projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance plant safety, product quality, and process efficiencies.
  • Prepare and implement manufacturing process documentation, including work instructions and training programs.
  • Conduct failure analyses and participate in implementing safety improvements.
  • Develop and implement research programs to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in determining root cause and providing corrective action for customer product complaints.
  • Participate in projects to reduce downtime and scrap, and organize, plan, and commission new or modified production lines.
  • Investigate operational problems affecting production in a systematic and methodical manner.
  • Validate implemented manufacturing process improvements to ensure desired results and sustainability.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation for integration into our quality system.
  • Provide training to operators, supervisors, and managers on new or modified processes.
  • Assist Maintenance in identifying and resolving problems, including performing preventative maintenance activities as needed.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and understand factors contributing to KPIs and identify areas of improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (preferably manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality improvement methods, including Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both alone/with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer and data analysis skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and CMMS systems.
