We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Burlington, ON.

**Salary:** $90,000/yr CAD, including benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay.

**Job Overview:**

Cullerton Group is a leading organization that requires a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical engineering and design, with a strong background in Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs).

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead the design of detailed equipment skids using SolidWorks software.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing capabilities, serviceability, ease of assembly, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Develop fabrication drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and complete as-built drawing updates.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, material selection, and proper manufacturing sequencing.
  • Apply engineering principles to various system designs, working closely with the engineering team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to devise designs that seamlessly integrate electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Provide technical support to the shop floor, interpreting internal and customer drawings and specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design, preferably in a manufacturing or processing industry.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) designation is an asset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate calculations and documentation.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks CAD software.
