The City of Saint John is seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our operational team as outside workers in Transportation & Public Works Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of labor-intensive and skilled mechanical, maintenance, and construction work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and construction work on various infrastructure projects
- Operate heavy equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of public works equipment and facilities
- Work in a team environment to achieve project goals and objectives
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
- Related post-secondary education in a relevant field
- Experience in maintenance and construction work
- Class 3 driver's license
- Aptitude to learn and adapt to new workplace technologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
