About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Payroll Solutions Specialist to join our team at Options Consulting Solutions. As a key member of our compliance services group, you will be responsible for maintaining expertise in payroll best practices, legislation, and standards across Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with extensive experience in payroll processing, certification courses (PCP or PLP), and excellent communication skills. About the Position

The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in a relevant discipline, sound knowledge of payroll and employment standards, and a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members. Your working knowledge of payroll legislation and strong client service skills will enable you to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including members, colleagues, and external partners.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain updated knowledge of best practices in payroll, legislation, and standards across Canada.
  • Review best practices, identify areas of concern, and implement process improvements.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries both internally and externally.
  • Escalate complex payroll issues to the Manager as required.
  • Support various programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with member needs.
  • Assist with Government advocacy efforts.
  • Communicate on various platforms regarding payroll legislation across Canada.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines with efficiency.
What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline.
  • Enrolled in certification courses (PCP or PLP).
  • Sound experience as a payroll professional managing payroll processing.
  • Working knowledge of payroll and employment standards, as well as payroll legislation.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
  • Strong client service and advisory skill set.
