Job Title: Casual Security Guard
Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly and confident Security Professional to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Professional, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to clients and visitors at various locations in Calgary and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to clients and visitors
- Conduct proactive patrols to ensure overall safety and respond to breaches in site rules
- Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
- De-escalate crisis situations and provide support and liaison with emergency personnel
- Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers from site
- Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability, and day-to-day reports
- Provide first aid when required
- Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
Requirements:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven de-escalation skills
- Calm under pressure and confident in problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of confidentiality in the workplace
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job, including walking up to 20km/shift, walking up/down stairs, and pushing/pulling 30-pound doors
- Open availability and willingness to work day and night shifts on a rotation
- Valid Alberta Security license or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing work with Paladin Security
