Director of Learning and Development

The Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) is seeking a Director of Learning and Development to enhance their ability to support members more effectively. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Learning and Development is responsible for leading and enhancing the Course Design and Delivery, Client Services, and Learning Resources departments. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing strategies that align with the organization’s mission, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring that ACSA delivers exceptional value through its learning and training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategies for Client Services, Learning Resources, and Course Design & Delivery, aligned with ACSA’s mission and strategic goals.
  • Client Services: Oversee and refine Client Services strategies to boost member engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Learning Resources: Direct Learning Resources to develop and maintain current, effective learning materials.
  • Course Design & Delivery: Lead Course Design & Delivery to ensure adherence to best practices in instructional design.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Adult Learning, or related field
  • 10 years of related experience, with 7 years in a leadership role preferably in learning and development, instructional design, or adult education
  • National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO/NHSA) designation considered an asset
