Job Title: Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at St. Louis Bar and Grill.

Job Summary:

The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Service: Supervise and coordinate the preparation and portioning of food, ensuring that it meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Management: Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet our menu requirements.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
  • Cost Control: Prepare and manage budgets, including labor costs, inventory costs, and other expenses, to ensure that we are operating within our means.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role, preferably in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a team, to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and to maintain a high level of attention to detail.
