Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Marine Service Technician to join our team at Ocean West Marine Group Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessels, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessels, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on engines and other equipment.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical and mechanical system parts as needed.
  • Document all work performed and tests made on engines.
  • Estimate repair costs and review work orders with supervisors.
  • Provide training and guidance to apprentices and junior technicians.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service on marine equipment and vessels.
  • Advise customers on work performed and the condition of their equipment.
  • Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and standing for long periods.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a marine environment, which may include working at heights, in confined spaces, and in/on water. The work site may be noisy, dusty, and wet/damp.
