Job Title: Pipefitter

Oxy is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our team in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for performing direct repair and preventive maintenance tasks on various equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and centrifuges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct predictive maintenance tasks to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Test and evaluate equipment problems through observation and measurement.
  • Rebuild equipment to specifications and interpret drawings and plans.
  • Lubricate equipment plant-wide and perform vibration analysis and laser alignment.
  • Perform a wide variety of mechanical repairs and construction, including pipefitting, rigging, welding, and reinforced plastic work.
Requirements:
  • Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) in Millwright or Pipe-Fitter.
  • Related trade experience, including Pipefitter, Welder, or Machinist.
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Predictive and Preventative maintenance practices.
  • Valid driver's license required.
