Job Overview

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of work including the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds in assigned area(s). Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Planning

Plans and organizes operational requirements of the systems monitored and controlled by the computerized building automation system (BAS).

Maintenance and Repair

Occasionally performs inspections, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic duties on mechanical systems.

System Operation and Supervision

Controls the daily operation of the computerized building automation system (BAS) and all functions of building systems and equipment.

Project Management

Monitors progress of projects, confers with contractors, and reviews work status to see that development is progressing according to schedule.

Administrative Tasks

Performs basic administrative tasks associated with the operation of the Engineering department.

Event Support

Performs tasks required to help successfully execute an event (electrical hook ups, lighting adjustments, etc.).

Maintenance and Repairs

Performs other maintenance tasks as required (building repairs, painting, etc.).

Snow Removal and Landscaping

Performs snow removal/landscaping.

Technical Skills

Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).

Facilities Operation

Provides overall support for facilities operation.

Inspections and Repairs

Inspects, maintains and repairs building architectural/structural systems, furniture, furnishings and equipment (FF&E), and participates in construction and renovation projects.

Equipment Repair

Repairs doors and door hardware.

Commissioning and Operations

Inspects and repairs equipment such as audio/visual boxes, flagpoles, magnetic locks, etc.

Material Handling and Personnel Lifting Equipment

Operate Material Handling and Personnel Lifting Equipment.

Requirements

Education

Successful applicant must possess at minimum completed high school education.

Experience

At least 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role is required.

Skills and Abilities

Must be able to do shift work.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays when required.

Required to complete a criminal background check prior to starting employment.

Previous maintenance experience preferred.

Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.

Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.

This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
