About Our Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Technologist to join our Technical Services group in downtown Halifax. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Technologists to support the selection, planning, design, and execution of construction, repair, or maintenance projects across the province. Your technical expertise will be essential in promoting a safe, healthy, and inclusive built environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide input to the Capital Planning process and assess existing infrastructure.
  • Participate in the development of scopes for approved projects and provide design services within the capacity of the team.
  • Provide Design Review services of submittals from external service providers.
  • Support the project team during the tender, award, execution, and close-out phases of the project.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Completed an approved program as an Electrical Technician or an Electrical Engineering Technologist.
  • Eight (8) years of related experience.
  • Certified Electrician, Electrical Technician, or Technologist.

This position includes a combination of office and field work, with normal hazards associated with construction sites and working near heavy equipment. Some travel and associated overtime may be expected. A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
