Clinical Nurse Educator, Professional Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a key role in promoting excellence in patient care and advancing the nursing profession.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement orientation and professional development programs for nursing staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to deliver educational activities, including teaching, facilitating groups, mentoring, and conducting formal presentations, demonstrations, and lectures.
- Role model best practice, clinical concepts, and skills to staff and students, promoting compliance with professional standards of practice and supporting excellence in patient and family-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities, evaluating the effect of education programs and generating recommendations for alternative educational approaches.
- Consult with internal and external partners to ensure educational content is evidence-based and reflects current best practice.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Three years recent related experience, including at least one year of teaching and educational program development experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid B.C. driver's license and personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
